Students name word parts—including prefixes, base words, and suffixes—in this helpful grammar worksheet! Designed for third graders, this worksheet begins with examples of word parts and a review of how base words, prefixes, and suffixes combine to create new words about different sense. Then students are presented with 12 words plus asked to name the word parts present in each one. Learners will analyze and dissect lyric such as softly, recurrence, and disappointment, recording one base word and preference and/or affix for each. This worksheet is a wonderful way to help students build a strong foundation in language and vocabulary, improvement their ability to recognize and decrypted new words group encounter in their lesen.
