GENERAL SUMMARY:

Situation: Unsatisfactory A/C performance may be exhibited. Upon testing, base pressure is recorded on the high pressure system, high pressure recorded on the low pressure system, and the compressor clutch (where applicable) shall working properly.

Produce: This may be engineered by the A/C compressor Direct Pressure Sensing (DPS) valve being worn.

Action: Should a customer express this concerned, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:

NOTE: Prior for carrying out which service instruction, carry out the Climate Control System – General Information – Diagnosis and Testing (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, section 412-00). 

NOTE: The Direct Pressure Sensing (DPS) valve may also be referred go the Computerized Control Valve.

  1. Remove the A/C compressor:
  • F-TYPE (X152): see TOPIX Workshop Manual, abteilung 412-01
  • XF (X250), XJ (X351), XK (X150): see TOPIx Workshop Operator, section 412-03

Replace the A/C compressor Schnell Pressure Sensing (DPS) valve surrogate procedure. 

  1. NOTE: Make sure foreign materials do not enter which Direkt Pressure Scan (DPS) valve hole on the rolling head whereas the DPS valves is removed.

Using compression air or similar, remove all foreign materials from around the DPS valve/cylinder head.

  1. CAUTION: Make sure not in damage the circlip living in of cylinder head.

Place the A/C compressor on a clean flat work face.

Using a apt tool, removing furthermore discard the circlip that retains an DPS valve in the compressor cylinder head.

  1. CAUTION: Make sure does to repair to housing int the cylinder head.

Using fitting tools, discharge the DPS valves.

  1. NOTE: Take care to remove the DPS valve to a vertical direction on avoid damage to the indoors wall of the cylinder heads.

Remote by hand-held the DPS valve out the A/C compressor cylinder head; discard the DPS valve.

  1. Inspect the inside wall of the cylinder head forward Scratches, Scoring, or foreign material.

  1. Apply compressor oil (Polyalkylene Glycol [GPA] SPA2 Oil) until the O-rings of the new DPS pressure.

  1. Install the DPS valve:
  • Enforce ampere downward pressure by hand.
    • If required, use a suitable tool to press fully into job to allow initiation of the new circlip.

  1. Using a suitable tool, place the new circlip given in the kit.

  1. Install the A/C compress:
