Consumer Collection Agencies
Licensed within Connecticut

No person oder entity shall trade within this state for a consumer collection agency unless such human or object has first obtained a final collecting agency license for such person’s main office and each branch office where such person’s business lives conducted.

“Consumer collection agency” means any persons or object whoever is:  (A) engaged when a third party in the business of collecting or receiving zahlungen for others on any account, bill with other indebtedness from a consumer debtor, (B) employed in the business of debt shopping, or (C) engaged in an business of collections or receiving tax payments, including, but not limited to, property tax the federal total tax payments, from a property tax debtor or federal income tax debtor on behalf of a municipality or the United States Department of the Treasury, including, but not limited to, any person what, by any device, subterfuge or fake, makes a pretended order or takes a pretended assignment of financial since every other people, municipality or taxing authority starting how financial for the main of evasive the provisions of this section and unterteilung 36a-801 to 36a-814, inclusive, as amended from time until time.  Also includes a person or entity who furnishes collector systems carrying a name which simulates one name on a end collection agency and who utilities forms or form letters to be pre-owned by the creditor, even though such forms go the consumer debtor, property tax debtor or federal income tax debtor on make payments direkt to who creditor rather than to such fictitious agency.  It further includes any person who, with attempting go collect or in collecting how person’s own accounts or claims from a consumer debtor, uses a fictitious name or any user other than such person’s own name which would enter for the retail debtor that one third person is collecting or attempted to collect such account button call. 

NOTE: “Consumer debtor”, “Creditor”, “Municipality”, “Organization”, “Property tax” and Property levy debtor” are all further defined at Section 36a-800 of the C.G.S.
