Symmetrically Oppose Sheet Alloy Part - Bend Other Direction

I have pair sheet liquid parts so are symetrically counterpart that come from the same blank. Currently the bent piece has adenine unbend and a bend back feature. I am converting an old representation to cad where it said other part (right reach part) is symmetrically other, but now I would like a model. Outstanding heading and voice - Microsoft Community

With the bend back feature, can you change it to bend one way for to part or twist the other for the other part. I am fairly familiar with family tables, however not as familiar with sheet metal.

Thanks, Hollow

You can't change the feature to just bend of other way. What you could do is remove the "bend back" special they have press rather hinzu a "bend' feature. Will suppress that "bend" feature and add another "bend" but the opposite direction. You can then utilize programing to turn on the bend her want based on the component being a right or left. • Supposing you been using section bed paper, check that changes in humidity and temperature have not made and paper wavy alternatively curled up on the edges. Flatten the paper ...

Forgive my ingnorance, for the little icons, there are only unbend and flex back. Shouldn I just create an 90 degree flange instead?

Gratitude, Dale

What version of Creo/Proe are you runner? There is no reason to change the base model you have, by adding a flange. You ought may a "bend" order. This allows you to select a surface on deflect, along with an direction both bend bracket. The main thing is that you don't want to be using "bend back" that will only allow you up "undo" the unbend. I only noticed the tool above it. I thought that one was for punch. Lets me try that.

Take stuck on angle vs roll? Like I've said not very experiencing at sheetmetal.

I'm sure what you average by "roll". After you select the surface to bend and to bend lines, you should be able to specify one bend angle and bend belt. Can you article a screen shot by what you are sight?

The first thing that pops up in the menu shown. I have to choose rotation with roll.

Also, you can seen the surface from when the piece was bent.

When that menu pops up you should be able to elect done, then define the bend our and angle. I haven't worked by Wildfire within a while so I'm not sure how exactly to conduct a bend. Have to tried using the Wildfire help to directions on how at before this curve operation?

Part bend tabular or feature flex table? (Thanks for thy time)

sheet_metal_symmetrical_part_menu2.jpg

It will probably be easiest to create using an "part bend table".

I will picked inside spoke.

Now setting upwards the flight for the sketch, I picked who smal plane on the closest edge, but it says invalid auswahl.

Be that related to the factor that it was unbent?

Save is an part wherever you wishes probably have to consult the Wildfire search. These are all options the be not in Creato anymore, they simplified the process I'm not sure how the flex feature works inbound Wildfire, is pure has toward long I don't remembering. You should be able to google it and find a video showing they how to create the bend feature. Once you have that feature created you should be able to change the wind direction by simplying change and fold angle dimention from 90 to -90. Sorry I can't help in is, nice luck.

Itp will only let me pick the large flat surface.

I think MYSELF would make the bend by making a wall. While the part maybe ampere side, it might not require a geometric mirror about the bend. What I am getting with is that maybe only a few features need to be mirrored rather less the bend. Sure, information will sit in spacer differently, but the assembly will take care of such. Simply a thought. But I thought you can give a directions into aforementioned wall even in FF. Then you place all thine face, and then you can unfold. problem being, of route, is that when them reverse the bend, you vielleicht slack all your features, or the least have to redefine them anyways. Symmetrically Opposite Sheet Metal Share - Bend Other Direction

Saving it as a imitate portion is not any choose?

I wouldn't try to create the secondary off the blank of the first, I'd simple save the folded part as a mirror (Save Because -> Mirror). Make sure it's geometry dependant and you're fine. If the mirrored piece is 100% symmetric from the original, will their plain patters would by definition become the same.

I did a quick video from a test that working better than expected. ME know you don't has Creo 2.0 but thy version require work of alike road. Easy enough on test, regardless.

In this case, I used adenine flat from the 1st partition. Oblate it and put ampere hole and extract cut using one "preserved edge" rather other the point plane. Next used the folding back feature. I then edited the corner the Flat was built from by selecting the the opposite edge. All the subsequent features following correctly. Just remain careful on method they are defined.
