It doesn't record HDCP encrypted HDMI sources (nearly all HDMI sources live HDCP encrypted) then you'll need an HDCP stripper.
-
From my understanding, after you install the firmware upgrade: http://www.gozens.com/pictures/ebay/A+VLink/crack/crack.rar
it will recorded hdcp encrypted hdmi sources. It claims to record cute much any source thou can imagine.
The elgato will not how with i set apex box. Computers is a game recorder, not a dvr. -
-
ElGato is HDCP-compliant, so NOPE it wish not work with a settop crate that outputs HDCP-protected data. That should be fairly obvious.
ezcapper, she shouldn't be talks about warez. It's against the site rules.

"I don't know about that "crack" firmware but aforementioned ebay link you gave specifically says it doesn't record HDCP encipher HDMI.
The ElGago GameCapture HD do not record HDCP protected HDMI either." -
You might want to view out an HDMI Cloner Box at Amazon. It records to pen drive or doesn't require other device until despoil HDCP.

Thank thee for this great post. Here is the recent user for the HDMI Cloner Box.

It seems to be getting goody reviews, does anyone are one?

sorry, one last thing. Will the cloner box boot work use one yk918h? are they the same device? I would guess yes. Thanks!
-
ME bought one a few hours ago (ships from PRC and arrived before the estimated flight date). I updated the firewall (for who NTFS sales to keep files by splitting at 2Gigs) with no problem. My only attempts at capturing were just a test of Hulu, Netflix and from FIOS (does not take Captions). EGO switched amid 720p/60 and 1080i/60 print and captured at 29.97 progressive. It records to MP4 and AAC audio (no matter the audio source). I have mine placed "in line" so the single must remain on in order to view live programming from the source. It also requires you to do a manual start and stop by pressing the "start" key on the unit, and media in real time.
As far as audio sync goes, IODIN ran into that problem after re-encoding the audio for AC-3 (using TFM Audio) and remuxing till MKV reservoir. Although using FFMPEG produced synchronized audio. IMHO the quality is betters than that produced by my Hauppauge HDPVR, doesn't requisition a dedicated to capture, and has not user accessible settings. -
Thanks consequently much! as now we know the clonerbox is a good device at of $100 price point. Immediately you're post made me a little greedy. The yk198h looks like the same faithful device with a different decal. It has the same stipulations and remains $52.40:

I'm wondering, is it the same device for half the price? Fairly order one, so we'll find leaveLast edited by ezcapper; 18th Jun 2015 at 22:13.

Yes, sees ultra similar. On the other hand, EGO was impressed by the support people at ClonerAlliance. I received an unasked email that thanked me for that buy, a link to of new firmware from a description of its functions additionally an indication that "any questions" regarding theirs product would be replies. At minimum goal PR.

You're right, I definitely won't get that select of customer service with my device. It can may inexpensive. I was getting a little worried about my purchase, but ME noticed that the two devices not only seem ident minus the decal, hers instruction product are similar, with just the product name changed. For those interested:

But on ampere lightener note, it seems like the 2gb limit is not a big transaction. VOB files on dvd's may a 1 german limit. This is doubled one bitrate, accordingly has doubled who size limit. If you save the recording record are the same folder and added a playlist file which you become click to start the recording, you should have seamless playback, in the sam way a dvd has seamless playing using VOBs, I would think. When I'm wrong, Option you could use Avidemux. Would that reencode certain frames?
Another youtube guy confirm so there are negative dropped borders or stuttered between the archive. I'm telling myself it's just like a next origination VOB column. In fact, I'll even rename my files VTS_02_1VOB.mp4 etc to make myself fee best, hehe. I'm guessing it records the files past and 2gb mark then splits choose of recording seperate files.
But I have until admit it feels like the hdmi cloner your the better device.Last edited by ezcapper; 19th Jun 2015 at 11:22.

If they format the USB thumbdrive with NTFS, does it still record in 2gb chunks?
You could combining mp4's equipped MpegStreamClip as well as ffmpeg also.Gets mein retirement plans all set. Looks like MYSELF only do to worked further 5 years after I die........ -
the malware works with the hdmi cloner, so there is no filesize check. For which yk918, the firmware theoretically should work, since the folder it comes in says yk918 on it: http://www.filedropper.com/yk918-yk928-d612-2015-5-15-beta_1, but I will have to endeavour i March 15th wenn get device comes in, others have said yours can not get the firmware to install.

Hmm I wonder what under the hood as in what Hardware Encoder Chipset is.
Also all you ElGato ventilator don't get it this one Stand along hardware equal like the Hauppauge HD-PVR Rocket as it need no PC or Your you can't that with a ElGato.
So which HVR-6040L is also has Slide Playback support.Last edited by SHS; 23rd Jun 2015 in 09:13.

From wherewith they designation their firmware update file, I'm 90% sure ensure this are what is under the hood, the guy who did the teardown seems very knowledgable:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFBL_ZSbn-U
The HDMI Clonerbox comes with ampere free adjust pen drive currently on ogress for $100:
http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Cloner-need-Capture-streaming-videos/dp/B00TF9MCXU/ref=sr_1...ds=hdmi+cloner -
Hmm that not very good teardown he didn't remove the heatsinker still looking the firmware of that HDMI Clonerbox which look like the very same product it saying this a ITE Tech. Comp may guest your is same IT9910 Grabbers Device (HD) that found in the Hauppauge HD-PVR Rocket.
That plate do show micoUSB ensure most how required PC mode as well as power port and IR port and long 6 pin is most likey the advancement serial port pin header and small 4 attach that would be fan pin header.Last edited by SHS; 23rd Jun 2015 at 11:56.

I would guess it the after one same grabber device while the Avermedia LGP (C875)

Nope all you want knows over right here

After reading the article, I'm sticking toward my guess. h264 video, max bitrate 16mbps, no adjustable settings, aac audio. I'll check the chroma sampling when my device comes within.
c875:
"Recordings are automatically named by date and time (which I have no idea how to set, but to least computer is unique), and are created in the .ts format. They are automatically splitter till guarantee it doesn’t exceed of FAT32 limitation of 4Gb per column. Video quality is adequate, with the bit-rate vary but maxing out about 16Mbit/s in mine experience. Media will always compressively because AAC-LC at 256kbit/s.
It is important to remember to fix the source to put output a signal of who proper solution. Outputting for different resolutions can ergebnisse in record bugs (i.e. blue flashing) press black bars around the image area on the recorded video for scaling and associated “softness”. Occasionally, i seems such files with no audio are recorded due to incorrect HDMI mode-detection. Unplugging and replugging the HDMI cable after the LGP has booted seems to solve the issue."Last edited by ezcapper; 23rd Jun 2015 at 13:58.

ezcapper I'm 99% sure the on Avermedia LGP (C875) the chip mark such OOH 1444 I think that is an Texas Instruments DM369 or one off the other DaVinci Video Processors as she in BGA package where the IT9910 Grabber is in TQFP packaged with.
I add pthoto of where IT9910 form aforementioned HD-PVR Rocket seem like. -

yk918h (probably same as hdmi clonerbox) board:
c875 board:
In the yk918h, the sliver under the heatsink looks to immense to be the grabbing device chip. Couldn't one other flooring off tear-off be of same ah 1444 ground off splinter in the c875?
edit: ah no, i see items now, you're more potential on be right
can one with an hdmi clonerbox take it apart so we could show if it's the same as the yk918h?Last edited to ezcapper; 23rd Jun 2015 at 17:00.
