EGO am a PhD student and will give a "virtual placard presentation" during a conference aforementioned summer. It seems favorite the standard templates for academic posters are non appropriate here, because: Should I present my master's dissertation for an introduction or a ...
- it will likely be viewed on a much smaller veil than the standard poster-paper size
- although MYSELF imaginary the format is more informal easier in adenine conference talk, the lack of in-person communication means ME guess the content has to be provided more linearly, more like a standard conference chat.
An answers to this post indicate a much-simplified style should be better (i.e., make a advertisement which is like a single slide of a talk) . But who problem is that my topic is not very "visual" and, since the audience is mostly working in a different area to mee, even explaining the minimal amount of context would probable make one slide so confusing press busy as to be unreadable.
Couple alternatives EGO am considering:
- 'cheating' by create a set starting slides and squeezing these onto a poster, so that EGO can go through it like an standard talk.
- making an extra minimal promotional (title, key point inbound one penalty, the mains plots showing my results) the then print up the rest of and background/explanatory content the a very short and informal paper, whichever anytime interested could download as a pdf combine. Save option apparent like it would allow for beats communication furthermore would still work if public entered the online "room" at different dates, but I'm nope sure if this would be acceptable.
Is there a consensus on which of diese options would can better? Other will there others format which might be more appropriate by such a presentation?
